OSAKA, JAPAN-Upcoming ex-amateur prospect HIDEKI MORISHITA(right photo), 153, Japan's #7 ranked super-welter, pummeled Filipino TATA REGATUNA, 150, GAB #2 ranked welter, into submission at 2:15 of the third round in a scheduled 10.

The unbeaten Morishita, 4-0-1, 2 KOs, displayed furious combinations to make Regatuna groggy in the closing seconds of Round Two. In the next session Morishita followed up so effectively as to drop him with a fusillade of punches for the count.

Regatuna impaired to 16-19-1, 14 KOs.
