Undercard:

Lefty Nobuyuki Enomoto, Japanfs #5 ranked minimum, 105 1/4, sustained a gash under the left eyebrow early, but overpowered Masayuki Kubo, 104 3/4, with busy body bombardments to win a unanimous nod over 10. Enomoto, 12-1-1, 2 KOs, registered 10 wins in a row. Kubo fell to 9-7-2, 2 KOs.

Hard-hitting Yoshio Hattori, 129 1/4, put on a gallant performance in outscoring a tremendously durable Indonesian named Rio Saragih, 129 1/4, via majority decision over 10.

Itfs the fight of the night, as they displayed all they had to fully entertain the crowd. Hattori often had him on the verge of a knockdown, but Saragih, ex-national champ, withstood his vicious attacks and occasionally fought back to shake him up with solid overhand rights. It became a furious see-saw battle.

Scored: 98-95 and 96-94 both for Hattori, and 96-96. Though unranked, Hattori, 13-5, 10 KOs, had difficulty looking for his opponent due his devastating power, so he had to face the foreign rival this night. Saragih, 10-3-1, 7 KOs, impressed the spectators with his game performance despite his defeat.

Promoter: Kyo Noguchifs Noguchi Promotions.
Matchmaker: Joe Koizumi (as for the Hattori vs. Saragih bout).
