OSHIMA FINALLY FINISHES THAILANDER IN 6

TOKYO, JAPAN-Japanese #4 ranked prospect Hironari Oshima(right photo), 136, ran his mark to 13-1, 9 KOs as he dropped a durable and game Thailander Suwit Vor Stheera, 135, three times and flattened him at 2:33 of the 6th round.

Oshima, who had failed to win the national title by a unanimous decision to Rick Yoshimura last February, exploded a vicious right, flooring him midway in the third. Though he looked through, the Thailander amazed the crowd by beating the count to resume fighting. Oshima finally caught him and dropped him with wicked rights to have him prone on the deck. The loser was carried out of the ring on a stretcher.

The very courageous Thailander fell to 9-4-1, 5 KOs.

Undercard:

Once-beaten minimum prospect Nobuyuki Enomoto, 107, began to bleed too profusely to go on and was held to a technical draw by Thai #3 minimum contender Pigmy Muangchai, 106, at 2:33 of the opening canto in a scheduled 10.

The southpaw Japanese Enomoto is 12-1-2, 2 KOs. Pigmy is 6-1-2, 2 KOs.

Scored: 99-93, 100-91 and 97-95, all for Kobayashi, who is willing to have a shot at the OPBF title in the near future. Kim dipped to 6-9, 3 KOs.
