OSAKA, JAPAN-The newly crowned WBC super-flyweight champ Masamori Tokuyama, a North Korean born and living in Japan, scaled in at the 115-pound class limit, while Japanese challenger Akihiko Nago tipped the beam at 114.75.
Tokuyama, 22-2-1, 5 KOs, is a speedster boasting of lightening speed with which he dethroned Korean Injoo Cho by a lopsided decision here last August. For him, this will be his first defense. Nago, 18-1, 12 KOs, is a southpaw KO artist with a single shot, being handled by ex-WBA light fly champ Yoko Gushiken who kept his title 13 times to his credit.
