OSAKA, JAPAN-Local feather prospect Haruhiko Okuda, 125.75, swept all rounds with his aggression utilizing good body shots and won a lopsided decision over Filipino Alan Morre, 126, over 10.
Having failed to win the national feather title via 5th round TKO by Toshikage Kimura despite dropping the champ earlier in Tokyo last July, Okuda engaged in this comeback bout but could not finish the beaten Filipino. Morre attempted to score occasional big punches but failed to catch the taller opponent. He was penalized a point for heading in the third.
Okuda bettered his mark to 18-2, 13 KOs, and Morre impaired to 25-21-2, 7 KOs.
