Watanabe, 13-2-1, 10 KOs, is gunning for a shot at the OPBF 147-pound belt against unbeaten Filipino southpaw Rev Santillan in Nagoya in August.
Yoshinobu Nakamura, 115, pounded out a shutout decision (100-90, 100-91 and 100-92) over Thailander Win Nationman, 111, over 10.
Unranked Nakamura improved his mark to 10-1-2, 6 KOs. The Thai loser dipped to 4-5, 1 KO.

Marks opened a cut at the right ear with his sharp punches in the second, and swept all rounds with his aggressiveness.
JBC #4 bantam Noboru Fukuyama, 118, dropped Toshinobu Nakatani, 118, with a solid left hook in the 7th and chalked up a TKO win at 0:47 of the 10th and final round.
Fukuyama is 10-3-1, 7 KOs. Nakatani fell to 6-8-1, 2 KOs.
