OSAKA, JAPAN-Upcoming lefty speedster Masakazu Satake (13-2-1, 7 KOs), WBC #10 ranked OPBF super-light champ, 141.25, engaged in a non-title affair and battered ex-national champ Hiromu Kuwata (25-8-3, 17 KOs), 142, so furiously as to prompt the refereefs intervention at 2:00 of the 5th round.
Satake was supposed to appear in Don Kingfs card in China last August, but it was unfortunately postponed until November. Kinya Yoshida, the lefty champfs manager, wishes to make Satake fight a mandatory defense in his next bout, whether in China or in Japan. Satake displayed a rapid-fire combination to badly stagger the veteran prior to the stoppage.
