YOKOHAMA, JAPAN-Unranked but unbeaten Shoji Kimura (13-0, 4 KOs), 123.75, defeated Thai super-bantam champ Wichit Chuwatana (reportedly 26-10, 9 KOs) by a unanimous decision over 10 supporting the WBA 105-pound elimination bout in which Keitaro Hoshino acquired the vacant belt by beating Filipino Joma Gamboa at Pacifico Yokohama.

TOKYO, JAPAN-On the same night that a world title bout took place in Yokohama, another card was held at the Korakuen Hall.

Japanese #2 super-welter Shunji Kaneyama (11-3, 10 KOs), 154, scored a TKO win over Seisai Yoshida (11-17-4, 7 KOs), 154, at 2:25 of the 5th round.

Unbeaten Yuji Yamaguchi (4-0, 3 KOs), 143.5, blasted out Thai #3 super-light Wath Voh Vuthinanth, 143.5, at 2:07 of the opening canto.

Upcoming Daisuke Ozawa (12-2, 8 KOs), 130, outscored Thai #4 super-bantam Weerachai Chuwatana, 126.75, over 8.
