OSAKA, JAPAN-Unbeaten Japanese top 108-pound contender Noriyuki Komatsu (13-0-5, 6 KOs), 113.5, flattened veteran Ryuji Muramatsu (21-10-1, 9 KOs), 113.5, with a single right shot at 3:02 of the second round in Osaka, Japan.

Muramatsu, ex-top light-fly contender who had failed to win the national belt on four occasions, was carried on a stretcher and immediately hospitalized, but fortunately proved safe and sound after an examination.

Undercard:

Unbeaten Japanese #8 108-pounder Katsunari Takayama (8-0, 4 KOs), 108, halted Daisaku Kashiwagi (6-4-3, 1 KO), 107.25, at 2:32 of the 4th session.
