TOKYO, JAPAN-WBC No.5 ranked Trash Masaki Nakanuma(right photo) (22-2, 9 KOs), 112, kept his Japanese flyweight belt as he displayed a Roy Jones style in whipping Ryo Kitano (8-3, 1 KO), 112, upstairs and downstairs to drop him three times en route to a fine KO at 2:41 of the 6th round in Tokyo, Japan.
Nakanuma, a short big puncher making his first defense since dethroning world-rated Takefumi Sakata this April, kept showboating and scored a roundhouse shot at a time, staggering the game but less experienced challenger.
The hard-hitting champ caught him with vicious rights and sent him sprawling to the deck thrice for an automatic stoppage. Nakanuma registered 20 wins straight but must master how to hit in combination.
