FUKUOKA, JAPAN-WBC #7 ranked elongated southpaw Takashi Koshimoto(right photo) (31-1-2, 14 KOs), 126, floored Filipino champ Jeffrey Onate (28-14-6, 15 KOs), 126, in the second and pounded out a lopsided 12-round decision to retain his OPBF featherweight belt in Munakata, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan.
Scored: 120-108, 118-110 and 119-107, all for the 5f9h lefty champ. Koshimoto utilized his puzzling southpaw stance as well as his superior height and reach in outpunching and outlegging the slower but willing mixer all the way.
Undercard:Unbeaten lefty Dainoshin Kuma(left photo) (21-0, 9 KOs), 133, hit the deck by touching the glove on the deck in the first, but fought back with busier combinations to earn a close but unanimous decision (98-93, 97-93 and 97-96) over OPBF #5 ranked Thai super-feather champ Muangfalek Kiatwichien (5-1, 4 KOs), 132.25, over 10.
Promoter: Fukuma Sports Promotions.
