WBC #3 RANDY SUICO DEFENDS OPBF 130-POUND TITLE THIS SATURDAY

March 27, 2003

CEBU, PHILIPPINES-Unbeaten KO artist, WBC #3 ranked Filipino 130-pounder Randy Suico, 18-0, 16 KOs, will put his super-feather belt of the OPBF (Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation) against Indonesian champ Timbul Hutagalung in Lapu Lapu City, Cebu, Philippines this coming Saturday.

This title bout of Suico was originally scheduled against ex-OPBF champ Tiger Ari, a lefty compatriot, who eventually left for California to campaign in the US without his promoter Bebot Elordefs knowledge. Then, unbeaten Joeni Kim, a Mongolian who holds the Korean national belt, was supposed to fight Suico in Cebu, but he abruptly cancelled his OPBF title shot by giving his priority to his US showing in Las Vegas this April. The Indonesian Hutagalung kept his national title many times and is expected to show a good performance against Komong Bato (Stone Hands in the Tagalogue language). This sensational card is promoted by Rex Wakee Salud.
