CEBU, PHILIPPINES-An oft-postponed and long-anticipated OPBF 130-pound title bout of WBC #3 and WBA #12 ranked champ Randy Suico (18-0, 16 KOs) will take place against Indonesian champ Timbul Hutagalung (15-3-5, 3 KOs) at the Lapu Lapu Sports Complex, Cebu, Philippines tomorrow.
The official weigh-in was over, as Suico tipped the beam at 129.75 and Hutagalung 129.5. The Indonesian underdog proudly predicted, “I will bring back the prestigious OPBF title back to my country by knocking out your champ.” The 22-year-old modest Suico, making his first defense, didn’t make any prediction but only said, “I will show my best to my adherents.”
On the same bill, WBC #6 minimum Eriberto “Ioka” Gijon will take on Rober Gadian in a 105-pound 10- rounder. His younger brother Elmer Gejon will face Rolando Baclayo, Philippine #5 105-pounder, in 10. Ricardo Albia and Allan Dugan, Filipino #8 and #9 minifly contenders, square off in 10.
