TOKYO, JAPAN-Ugandan import Peter Okello (12-3, 11 KOs), 248.25, kept his OPBF heavyweight belt as he dropped Australian Colin Wilson (24-16-0-1NC, 14 KOs), 252, three times to halt him at 0:27 of the sixth round in Tokyo, Japan.
Wilson, a game southpaw, displayed his determination by beating the count whenever he hit the deck, winning the praise of the audience. It was a crowd-pleasing competition. Scored before the stoppage: 50-42, 50-44 and 49-44, all for the 6’4” Ugandan.
