TOKYO, JAPAN-WBC 105-pound champ Jose Antonio Aguirre, 29-1-1, 18 KOs, from Mexico, showed a very fine public workout against his sparring partner Victor Rojas at the Teiken Gym, presided by Akihiko Honda, in Tokyo, Japan on Monday. Aguirre will put his belt on the line against ex-WBA champ Keitaro Hoshino, 23-9, 6 KOs, in Yokohama next Monday.
Katsushige Kawashima, 23-2, 16 KOs, also showed his superb condition in another public workout in Yokohama on Wednesday. Kawashima will appear in the main event on the same bill this coming Monday and have a shot at the WBC 115-pound belt against Masamori Tokuyama, 28-2-1, 8 KOs.
WBC #3 ranked 130-pound sensation and OPBF champ Randy Suico, 19-0, 17 KOs, arrived on Wednesday at Tokyo for his non-title bout with Kazunori Fujita, 16-3, 8 KOs, here at the Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, this coming Saturday. The Japanese boxing fraternity is going to become hot and hungry for the expectedly action-packed fights.
