WE WAIT FOR TOMORROWfS WBC DOUBLEHEADER

TOKYO, JAPAN-The official weigh-in ceremony was over in Tokyo for tomorrowfs WBC dual title bout at the Yokohama Arena. WBC super-fly champ Masamori Tokuyama (28-2-1, 8 KOs) and Japanfs Katsushige Kawashima (23-2, 16 KOs) both tipped the beam at the 115-pound class limit. Also, WBC minimum ruler Jose Antonio Aguirre (29-1-1, 18 KOs) and Japanese challenger Keitaro Hoshino (23-9, 6 KOs) both scaled in at 105 pounds. All have been reported in excellent shape, and we look forward to seeing hot competitions.

WBC officials are as follows: referee Bruce McTavish (New Zealand); judges Oren Shellenberger (US), Hubert Minn (US) and Daniel Van De Wiele (Belgium) for the WBC 105-pound title bout; referee Nobuaki Uratani (Japan); judges Ken Morita (Japan), Hisatoshi Miyazaki (Japan) and Anek Hongtongkam (Thailand). The WBC representative for both title goes is Edward Thangarajah (Thailand).

This is the first promotion for ex-WBC 105-pound champ Hideyuki Ohashi to stage a world title bout.
