TOKYO, JAPAN-Upcoming 154-pound prospect Takao Onda (11-1, 9 KOs), 152.75, decked a dramatic give-and-take victory by stopping Kenichiro Shinmei (6-10-3, 3 KOs), 154, at 2:37 of the sixth round on Friday night in Tokyo, Japan. Onda, ex-winner of national novice king tourney, dropped him with a vicious body shot in the opening canto, but Shinmei exploded a solid right, dropping the prefight favorite in the third. Onda, in the fifth, furiously attacked him and downed him near the ropes. The fatal sixth saw Onda accelerate his attack to pin him to the ropes with a fusillade of punches to prompt the refereefs intervention with the roaring crowd on its feet.
Previously unbeaten welter ex-amateur star Daisuke Negishi (3-1, 3 KOs), 147, was shockingly flattened prone by more experienced lefty Fumiaki Matsushita (9-8, 2 KOs), 147, at 2:55 of the opening canto, after they hit the deck each other.
Matsushita, a southpaw from Nagoya, surprisingly sent him to the canvas with a southpaw right, but Negishi came off the deck and dropped him back with a solid right. Matsushita, the underdog, landed a wicked shot to have him prone on the canvas.
Lefty Masaki Sawanaga (13-5-3, 5 KOs), 130, was awarded a technical decision over also southpaw Seishiro Tashiro (7-3, 4 KOs), 130, because of the latterfs bad gash at 2:10 of the sixth.

TOKYO, JAPAN-Former Japanese top lightweight contender Hironari Ohshima (19-4, 13 KOs), 141.5, caught overmatched Thailander Duandeen Sithgorson (reportedly 7-6, 2 KOs), 140.75, with a vicious body shot at 0:50 of the sixth round on Wednesday night in Tokyo, Japan.
Unbeaten ex-amateur boy Kinshiro Usui (3-0, 1 KO), 118, scored a unanimous decision over Asahi Takano (9-8-2, 6 KOs), 118, over 8.
