NAGOYA, JAPAN-Unbeaten WBC #11 ranked ex-OPBF flyweight champ Hiroshi Nakano (19-0, 11 KOs), 111.75, made an impressive comeback after his long treatment on the fractured left hand, as he had #2 Thai superfly Khannchit Kiatgeija (18-16, 9 KOs), 111.75, on the deck three times en route to an automatic KO at 2:06 of the third round. It was an encounter of southpaws, but Nakano proved much busier and faster than the Thai foe. Nakano had renounced his regional belt to concentrate on the oft-fractured left hand last year.
WBC #14 ranked Ryuhei Sugita (25-1-2, 21 KOs), 131.25, landed a wicked body shot to blast out Thailandfs Wanchana Chuwatana (8-7, 7 KOs), 131, at 2:51 of the second session.
Japanese #2 ranked 130-pounder Tsuyoshi Nakamura (20-3-1, 11 KOs), 132.5, decked his tune-up go prior to his scheduled national title crack at world-rated Nobuhito Honmo by dispatching Thailander Yodmonkon Sith-Sopha (6-6, 2 KOs), 132, at 1:53 of the opening canto. Honmo, from Tokyo, was in attendance to watch and study his next challenger Nakmura.
