TOKYO, JAPAN-Ex-two time world challenger Akihiko Nago (22-4-1, 15 KOs), 120.5, displayed a quick one-punch demolition of Thailander Lookai Sithsoe-I (4-4, no KO), 121.25, at 1:01 of the opening session in a scheduled ten on Thursday night in Tokyo, Japan. Nagofs southpaw right hook was a haymaker that badly sank his opponent for the count.
Japanese #8 super-fly Daisuke Yamanaka (11-1, 8 KOs), 121.5, landed a left-right combo to the forehead of Indonesian Armad Fandi (35-10-4, 13 KOs), 124, and stretched him prone with his face on the deck at 1:01 of the first round in a scheduled ten. It was a unique coincidence that the dual main event both ended in a same 61-second knockout.
Up-and-coming southpaw, Japanese #3 ranked light-fly Munetsugu Kayoh (9-0, 4 KOs), 107.5, exploded a vicious left and dispatched Thai #4 ranked 108-pounder Somyosh Vor Suraphol (5-5, 2 KOs), 107.75, at 1:55 of the third stanza in a scheduled eight. Lanky Masataka Murata (13-2, 7 KOs), 127.25, scored a fine stoppage of Thai #6 super-feather Petcharun Vor Suraphol (14-6, 3 KOs), 127.25, with a single overhand right at 1:33 of the second round in a first eight.
The young winners Yamanaka, Kayoh and Murata are managed by ex-WBA 108-pound champ Yoko Gushiken.
