TRIPLE WORLD TITLE BOUTS IN JAPAN TOMORROW

TOKYO, JAPAN-Akihiko Hondafs triple world title bouts will take place at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan, tomorrow (Saturday). The official weigh-in was held at the exhibition hall of the Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, as follows:

WBC bantam title bout; Veeraphol Nakhonluang-Promotion (Thailand) and Toshiaki Nishioka (Japan), both 118 pounds.

WBC super-bantam title bout: Oscar Larios (Mexico) 122 pounds to 121.5 for Shigeru Nakazato (Japan).

WBA interim bantam title bout: Hideki Todaka (Japan) and Julio Zarate (Mexico), both 118 pounds.

The officials are as follows:

WBC 118-pound title bout: referee Richie Davies (England); judges Dalby Shirley (US), Hubert Minn (US) and David Chung (Korea); supervisor Edward Thangarajah (Thailand).

WBC 122-pound title bout: referee Laurence Cole (US); judges Marty Denkin (US), Richard Flahaerty (US) and Gelasio Perez (Mexico); supervisor Major Lee (Korea).

WBA interim 118-pound title bout: referee Luis Pabon (Puerto Rico); judges Uriel Aguilera (Colombia), Pinit Prayadsab (Thailand) and Moohong Moon (Korea); supervisor George Martinez (Canada).

All title bouts will be so competitive and interesting that this card will produce a nationwide sensation here.
