INJIN CHI DEPARTS FOR MANCHESTER

SEOUL, KOREA-WBC top featherweight contender Injin Chi (27-2-1, 16 KOs), Korea, departed on Sunday for Manchester, England, where he will again face #2 ranked Michael Brodie (35-1, 22 KOs) in a quest for the vacant WBC 126-pound throne at the MEN arena there on this coming Saturday. Chi, accompanied by his longtime manager/trainer Jinkil Kim and entourage of Poongsan Promotions, will arrive at the destination this night. Their first encounter took place at the same venue last October, when Chi was at first announced to be the victor and new champ, but it was eventually reversed to a majority draw some half an hour after he left the ring. There had been an error in summation of the tallies, and it finally resulted in 113-113 twice and 114-112 for Chi. Their furious battle was elected gFight of the Yearh in England last year, and it may be hard to predict an outcome of their highly expected grudge fight.
