TOKYO, JAPAN-Formerly highly world-rated ex-OPBF 105-pound champ Hiroshi Nakajima (16-4-1, 3 KOs), 112, returned to the ring warfare after a two-year hiatus since his forfeiture of his regional belt to Korean Jaewon Kim, but dropped a close but unanimous decision (97-96, 96-94 and 98-95) to roughly onrushing Taku Matsui (9-4, no KO), 112, over ten upset rounds on Thursday night in Tokyo, Japan. The trial horse Matsui was so aggressive and pugnacious from the outset that he outhustled and overpowered the sluggish ex-champ, who occasionally counterpunched the less experienced foe but was forced to backpedal all night.
