TOKYO, JAPAN-Hideyuki Ohashi, ex-WBC 105-pound champ and currently the promoter of Ohashi Promotions, has announced today that his newly crowned champ Katsushige Kawashima, Japan, will put his WBC 115-pound title on the line against Mexican Raul gBabyh Juarez at the Yokohama Cultural Gymnasium, Yokohama, Japan, on September 20. Kawashima, making his first defense, dethroned Masamori Tokuyama by an upset first-round demolition on June 28. The crestfallen ex-champ Tokuyama has yet to make up his mind whether to revenge his defeat against Kawashima, move up to the bantam division, or hang up gloves for good. Kawashima, if successful in his first defense, will risk his belt against unbeaten top contender Jose Navarro next January.
