TOKYO, JAPAN-Ex-Japanese welter champ and currently #4 ranked 154-pouner Toshiharu Kayama (22-4-1, 14 KOs), 154, decked Filipino Cesar Dasillo (5-5-1, 2 KOs; previously fighting as Cesar Yarte), 151, with a countering right for the count at 2:37 of the fifth round on Monday in Tokyo, Japan.
The taller Kayama sent Dasillo to the deck with a stinging left in the first round. Though Kayama had the upper hand since, the Filipino showed good retaliations and occasionally scored solid countering rights. But the Japanese caught him with a well-timed short right, dropping him to the deck in the fatal fifth. Dasillo tried to pull himself up, but in vain, to be counted out by the ref Fukuchi.
