TOKYO, JAPAN-Unbeaten middleweight prospect Yuzo Kiyota (9-0, 7 KOs), 159.5, caught Japanese #6 contender Masao Ayusawa (11-7, 11 KOs), 159.75, with faster and more accurate combinations, battered him nearly at will and finally halted him at 2:37 of the fourth round in a scheduled eight on Tuesday in Tokyo, Japan. The Japanese #9 ranked Kiyota had won the national final in the Novice King four-round tournaments in the previous year, and extended his unblemished mark by having the brutal swinger down to the ropes twice before the referee Fukuchifs intervention. The 21-year-old Kiyota, muscular but flexible and fast, looked promising.
Japanese #7 ranked 108-pounder Katsuhiko Iezumi (16-6-2, 11 KOs), 108, made short work of Takefumi Matsukawa (7-9-1, 2 KOs), 108, as he was awarded a TKO victory due to the loserfs nasty gash caused by his opening attack at 1:15 of the first round in a scheduled eight.
