18-YEAR-OLD KAMEDA WINS OPBF BELT

YOKOHAMA, JAPAN-Unbeaten southpaw sensation Koki Kameda (8-0, 7 KOs), 112, very impressively captured the OPBF flyweight belt as he dropped defending champ Wanmee Chok Singwangcha (20-7, 9 KOs), 112, four times and dispatched him at 0:50 of the third round on Sunday in Yokohama, Japan. The 18-year-old Kameda might destroy all previous skepticisms on his talent with this finest performance. The youngster dropped the lefty champ with a countering left and again with a southpaw right hook in the opening canto. The third saw Kameda deck him with a solid left and furiously follow it up to finish the affair. Ex-world champs Gushiken, Hatanaka and Hatakeyama all praised his breathtaking showing and admitted he would be a future champ material.

Undercard:

Ex-Japanese national 140-pound champ Motoki Sasaki, 141.75, polished off Mitsuyuki Komori, 141.75, at 1:45 of the first session in a scheduled eight.
