OSAKA, JAPAN-Unheralded Junichi Ebisuoka (13-8-2, 6 KOs), 113, surprisingly scored an upset TKO win over WBA top ranked 108-pounder Pichit Chor Siriwat (34-3, 15 KOs), 111.75, at 2:48 of the eighth round on Sunday afternoon in Osaka, Japan.
Pichit, ex-WBA ruler living in Japan, looked so sharp that he floored the Japanese opponent twice with a southpaw right-left combo in the first and second rounds. It became a give-and-take affair afterwards, as Ebisuoka occasionally landed effective right uppercuts to win the fifth and sixth, while Pichit utilized his right jabs to take the seventh. A trick happened in the eighth, when Ebisuoka dropped the fading Thailander with a left hook following a good one-two combination. Though Pichit resumed fighting, he turned to his cornerman Ismael Salas without watching the onrushing foe, when Ebisuoka nailed him to the ropes with a barrage of punches. Ref Miyazaki declared a halt to save the loser from further punishment.
Kenbun Torres (4-1, 3 KOs), a son of ex-WBC 108-pound champ German Torres living long in Osaka, 117.75, was aggressive from the outset and finally finished Takuro Matsubara (7-4-5, 4 KOs), 118, with a furious combo at 2:38 of the fourth round in a scheduled ten.

OSAKA, JAPAN-On a separate bill at the same arena at night, OPBF #2 ranked Filipino Dindo Castanares (17-3-2, 13 KOs), 141, fought to a disappointing technical draw with local prospect Daigoro Yamamoto (9-2-3, 7 KOs), 140.75, at just 1:20 of the opening session in a scheduled ten on Sunday night in Osaka, Japan. Itfs a grudge fight, as they previously battled to a draw after slugging it out here years ago. A collision of heads happened in the beginning of the first with Yamamoto profusely bleeding from an artery between the eyebrows, when the ringside physician promptly halted it at a single glance.
Fast-rising 122-pounder Nobuto Ikehara (23-1, 17 KOs), 122, pounded out a unanimous decision (100-89, 99-90 and 96-93) over Filipino hard-puncher Robert Dalisay (16-16-3, 6 KOs), 122, over ten. Ikehara, formerly Japanese top contender, is gunning for a shot at the OPBF belt against Wethya Sakmuangklaeng.
Philippine #2 light-fly Jojo Bardon (17-8-2, 8 KOs), 112, was fortunately awarded a TKO win over Desperado Yasu (previously fighting as Yasuyuki Kodama; 9-6-3, 4 KOs), 111.25, because of the Japanese badly streaming blood due to a gash caused by legal punches at 0:42 of the seventh round in a scheduled ten.
