LOS ANGELES-Itfs common that contestants avoid often facing each other before the fight to elevate their motivation or antagonism. Ex-IBF lightweight champ Javier Jauregui and OPBF 130-pound titlist Randy Suico crossed yesterday in front of the Oscar de la Hoya youth center, where Jauregui (49-12-2, 34 KOs) appeared when Suico (23-1, 20 KOs) was about to leave the gym. They met again, by a coincidence, at an athletic club of their hotel this morning, as it was foggy and a bit cold outside. Each decided to do jogging inside the hotel, and started jogging almost at the same time. It seemed funny the Mexican veteran and the Filipino prospect were sweating together to reduce the weight as they jogged side by side on the running machines. They didnft talk each other since there was a language barrier between them. Suico couldnft understand Spanish, and neither Jauregui Cebuano (a Filipino local tongue). It will be a furious give-and-take affair at the USC Lyon Center, Los Angeles, on this coming Friday as neither will pull punches a la Morales-Pacquiao battle.
