TOKYO, JAPAN-Filipino Ayon Naranjo returned to his native Philippines onMonday, as he completely recovered from a brain injury suffered in hislast bout with Jorge Linares, an unbeaten Venezuelan campaigning here inJapan, beneath a world twinbill in Yokohama on September 25. Naranjo,who lost a unanimous decision despite his game performance, beganvomiting and complained of uneasiness in the dressing room, so wasimmediately sent to hospital. Fortunately Naranjo didnftneed to undergo a brain surgery only to stay at the Yokohama RosaiHospital to reduce his slight brain hemorrhage with medications foralmost a month. The Japanese commission (JBC) and the promoter AkihikoHonda financially covered all for his hospitalization and hotelaccommodations of his manager Leonil Lazarito who also stayed here sincehis boyfs fight.
