DIARRHEA, FEVER CAUSES NIIDAfS POOR PERFORMANCE

March 5, 2006

YOKOHAMA, JAPAN-Japanese fans were really disappointed to see WBA 105-pound champ Yutaka Niidafs lackluster performance despite his victory over Colombian Ronald Barrera who also looked least impressive by hitting the air all night without touching the elusive and negative champ in Tokyo last night (Saturday). Angry aficionados cried after the completion of the title bout, gBoth are losers.h Niida, 27, confessed at a press conference on Sunday, gFever and diarrhea caused my poor performance. I didnft have good stamina, though the challenger wasnft a dangerous opponent. I would like to show a better fight next time.h Niida often watched the clock of the round at the Korakuen Hall, and when the time was 2:40 of each round, he turned loose to batter the aggressive but less skillful opponent and hurt him considerably. Some audience was so disgusted at the mediocre game that they left the Hall midway in the contest. Niida, show your real power next time.
