WBC #10 ranked OPBF top lightweight contender and ex-OPBF 130-pound champ Randy Suico (24-2, 21 KOs), a hard-hitting Filipino, will dispute the vacant OPBG 135-pound belt with Thailander Pongpetch Chuwatana in Cebu, Philippines, on May 27. This OPBF light belt had been relinquished by Chikashi Inada who will face Sirimongkol Singmanassak Singwangcha in Los Angeles on May 20. Suico lately renounced his OPBF belt to be ranked atop in the OPBF lightweight division thanks to his excellent achievement as the regional champ, having scored five defenses all by KO. Suico, if victorious in the OPBF elimination bout, will participate in a semi-final beneath the Manny Pacquiao-Oscar Larios confrontation in Manila on July 2 with only a 35-day interval. Suico is supposed to face a tough Mexican to get an international exposure then and there.
