Ex-WBC bantam champ Veeraphol Nakhornluang-Promotion (52-3-2, 37 KOs) has decided to make a comeback after a bitter ninth round stoppage by Hozumi Hasegawa in a rematch last March. The Thailander who had kept his belt fourteen times before being dethroned by Hasegawa will meet formerly two-time world challenger Hidenobu Honda (26-4, 14 KOs) in Nonthaburi, Thailand, on June 23. Honda has been inactive since he dropped an upset decision to up-and-coming Nobuo Nashiro, currently the WBAfs top 115-pound contender, in August 2004. He once called it quits but lately announced to make a comeback. Honda, at his prime, was sharp and elusive enough to confuse his opponent, but we donft know how still fast he is now. We may also see how still good Veeraphol is after such a shocking TKO defeat by Hasegawa.
