TOKYO, JAPAN
WBA 108-pound champ, unbeaten 19-year-old sensation Koki Kameda (12-0, 10 KOs) will make his initial defense against Venezuelan southpaw Juan Jose Landaeta (20-4-1, 16 KOs) at the Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo, Japan, on December 20. It was announced by Keiichiro Kanehirafs Kyoei Promotions today (Thursday). Kokifs 17-year-old brother, also unbeaten WBC#26 ranked 115-pounder Daiki Kameda (6-0, 4 KOs) will appear on the undercard. Anti-Kameda papers or weeklies severely castigated this postponement due to his cut in workout because he didnft appear on Kanehirafs press conference. But it is definitely true that Kameda sustained a gash during a sparring session last Friday. The grudge fight is anticipated by great many people who watched their first encounter with the vacant WBA belt at stake that resulted in Kamedafs hairline split verdict this August.
