KARIYA, JAPAN
A Japanese Sean OfGrady, promoterfs son OPBF#14/JBC#7 light-fly Suguru Takizawa (15-1, 5 KOs), 107.75, decked an important victory as he impressively floored OPBF#13 Alwi Alhabsy (18-5-4, 6 KOs), 108, Indonesia, twice in the third and once more ? this time ? for the count at 0:23 of the fourth round in a scheduled ten on Sunday in Kariya, Japan.
The more experienced Indonesian made a good start and took the initiative with stinging lefts in the first two sessions. Suguru, the promoter/manager/trainer/father Hajimefs son, turned loose in the third, when his left hook had Alhabsy down face first and his body bombardments sent him to the canvas again with the bell coming to his rescue. The fatal fourth saw Takizawa swarm over the fading foe with persistent body shots to sink him in agony for the full count.
Under the traditional Japanese club system, many club-owners (mostly former boxers) try to have their sons experience fighting, either amateur or professional, before they yield their clubs to the sons. So, there have been not a few Pat?Sean OfGrady cases here, though all arenft necessarily successful.
Promoter: Takizawa Promotions.
Matchmaker: Joe Koizumi.
