GOYANG CITY, GYENGGIDO, SOUTH KOREA
A 32-year-old Japanese midwife Naomi Togashi (4-0, 3 KOs), 106.5, acquired the WBC interim female 108-pound belt as she pounded out a unanimous decision over Korean Jin Kim (4-2-1, 1 KO), 107, over ten on Sunday in Goyang City, South Korea. Togashi became the first world champ since the Japan Boxing Commission (JBC) authorized the female boxing under its supervision this year. Probably babies that she delivers mothers of will be strong, since they are born at the hand of the world champ.
