Osaka is a commercial town with the second biggest population to Tokyo in Japan. Promoters there were so economy-minded that they shared arena rental fees to separately stage their promotions in the daytime and at night on Saturday and Sunday. Fight fans in Osaka watched no less than four shows in two days.

Hard-hitting bantam prospect, WBC#16 Mikio Yasuda (13-3-2, 10 KOs), 122, displayed a fine form in dispatching Jensuk Sakbuntham (7-5, 2 KOs), 112, at 1:44 of the third round in a scheduled eight on Saturday night in Osaka, Japan. Yasuda, who had entered the world ratings thanks to his upset victory over Mexican Jaime Ortiz in 2006, looked so sharp and explosive that he demolished the Thailander with a single right uppercut in the fatal session. Yasuda is a stablemate of ex-WBA 115-pound champ Nobuo Nashiro, whose sparring undoubtedly honed Yasudafs fists sharply.
