Muscular Japanese hard-puncher, OPBF interim super-middle champ Yuzo Kiyota (16-2-1, 14 KOs), 168, impressively unified the OPBF belts as he displayed his career-best performance, dropped full champ Wayne Parker Jr. (7-2, 2 KOs), 165.5, in the first and battered him from all angles to prompt the referee Bruce McTavishfs intervention at 1:37 of the second round on Monday in Tokyo, Japan.
Though people expected a tough game for Kiyota, he showed such a quick demolition to win the crowdfs praise. The 25-year-old Japanese banger swarmed over the cautious champ from the outset, and decked the lanky upright stylist Parker, also 25, with a vicious right following busy combinations. Parker gamely beat the count with rubbery legs with the bell coming to his rescue. Kiyota, in round two, accelerated his attack and had him in trouble again, when the ref wisely declared a halt to save the ex-champ from further punishment. Kiyota looked like David Haye dynamically annihilating Enzo Maccarinelli, if we donft call the Japanese winner Hayemaker.
WBC#2/WBA#6 female veteran Nanako Kikuchi, 105.5, chalked up a TKO victory over WBC#13 atom Lily Rachaprachagym, 104.75, at 2:57 of the second session in a scheduled six.
