Unbeaten 20-year-old Thai girl Yani Kokietgym (6-0, no KO) arrived in Osaka, Japan, today (Wednesday) before her ambitious shot at the WBA female minimum title against also unbeaten defending champ Etsuko Tada (5-0, 2 KOs), a southpaw Japanese speedster, here on this coming Sunday. Yani strenuously made her first workout for two hours in the afternoon after her arrival at 7:30 AM. Tada, 28, had compiled an excellent amateur mark of 47-3, while Yani 30-5 as unpaid boxer. Though the women’s boxing is still less popular here, Tada, one of the best in Japan, is expected to show a good performance to draw more attention from our fight fans.
