Teiken Promotions, Inc. has announced that WBA 105-pound champ Roman Gonzalez (26-0, 22 KOs) will make an ambitious shot at the WBA 108-pound throne against Juan Carlos Reveco (25-1, 15 KOs), Argentina, in Tokyo, Japan, on October 24.
The impresario Akihiko Honda, who has a promotional agreement of “Chocolatito” Gonzalez, will stage the WBC super-bantam mandatory bout between his champ Toshiaki Nishioka and British challenger Rendall Munroe in the main event on that day. The sensational Reveco-Gonzalez showdown will be the main supporting event to the headliner. This reporter feels happy to be able to broadcast this superfight in the small category as a commentator.
