March 19, 2011

OSAKA, JAPAN

Newly crowned WBA bantam champ Koki Kameda (24-1, 15 KOs) publicly announced on Friday that he would defend his belt against newly #14 ranked Nicaraguan Daniel Diaz (reportedly 18-2, 13 KOs) in Osaka, Japan, on May 7. Kameda, making his initial defense, acquired the vacant WBA regular belt renounced by Anselmo Moreno, winning a unanimous decision over Venezuelan Alexander Munoz in Saitama last December.
