A female world title tripleheader will take place at the Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan, on September 22. It was announced today by Futur Promotions with four contestants in attendance. WBA 105-pound champ Etsuko Tada (8-0-2, 2 KOs; amateur mark 47-3), a Japanese southpaw making her sixth defense, will put her belt on the line against ex-WBC 108-pound titlist Nongmuay Kokietgym (10-2-3), Thailand, over ten rounds in the main event. Newly crowned WBC 105-pound ruler Naoko Fujioka (6-0, 4 KOs; amateur record 18-3, 10 stoppages), a Japanese hard-puncher, will risk her throne against official challenger and WBC silver titlist Kanittha Kokietgym (13-3, 4 KOs), a 21-year-old Thailander, in a ten-round semi-final. In a quest for the newly established WBA 102-pound championship named gLight Minimumweighth class will fight Ammara Kokietgym (7-1-1, 3 KOs), a busy-punching Thailander, and Mari Ando (7-3, 4 KOs), a Japanese puncher, over ten. Supporting the tripleheader will be a WBC final eliminator to decide the official challenger against the WBC female 130-pound champ between veteran Japanese and current OPBF lightweight ruler Fujin Raika (22-6-1, 9 KOs) and ex-WBC champ Jelena Mrdjenovich (24-8-1, 12 KOs), a Canadian who once defeated Raika at her home turf four years ago. The winner will be supposed to have a mandatory shot at the victor of the next WBC title go between legitimate champ Frida Wallberg of Sweden and Olivia Gerula of Canada.
