WBC#4/WBA#5 Japanese super-fly champ Yota Sato (23-2-1, 12 KOs), 115, kept his national belt as he swarmed over previously unbeaten challenger Kenji Ohba (21-1-2, 16 KOs), 115, and flattened him with a double right hand at 2:19 of the fourth round on Tuesday in Tokyo, Japan. Ohba fought well, but Sato displayed faster punches to halt his dream to become a champ.
OPBF and national welter ruler Akinori Watanabe (24-4, 22 KOs), 147, dispatched Kyoichirou Shoji (9-3-4, 3 KOs), 146.75, with a single southpaw right hook en route to a TKO triumph at 1:32 of the fourth session of a scheduled twelve.
