WBA female super-flyweight champ Tsunami Tenkai (18-3, 7 KOs) (right photo), a cute Japanese girl, will defend her belt against WBA interim ruler Carolina Gutierrez (20-2, 13 KOs) in a unification bout staged by influential promoter Osvaldo Rivero in Cordoba, Argentina, on April 27. Tenkai used to be a football player, and she finely kicked soccer balls with precision into the balcony of the Korakuen Hall prior to her final exhibition on Sunday. Tenkai, 27, engaged in four-round sparring sessions with a couple of partners to show her good form. The champ looks forward to going to the country of football, Argentina, where she will meet Gutierrez, 35, in a unification bout. Tenkai said, “I hope to show a good performance before Argentine spectators.”
