WBC FEMALE CHAMP FUJIOKA TO FACE ARGUETA

September 8, 2012

TOKYO, JAPAN

Unbeaten WBC female 105-pound champ Naoko Fujioka (8-0, 5 KOs), Japan, will put her belt against Mexican national titlist Victoria Argueta (8-0, 3 KOs) in Osaki, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, on October 28. It will be a charity event to encourage still struggling victims after the horrible earthquake that happened in March of the previous year. Fujioka, the pride of Osaki city, will make a heroinefs return to her native place that she had greatly anticipated since dethroning Anabel Ortiz in May of the previous year. Argueta, a 21-year-old speedster, acquired the vacant Mexican belt by defeating Lucia Hernandez in her sixth pro bout last October and kept it twice to her credit. It will be a good competition of the unbeaten girls thanks to the organizer of the Osaki city itself.
