TOKYO, JAPAN
Ex-WBA junior flyweight champ Yoko Gushiken, now as the promoter, has announced his WBA female super-flyweight champ Naoko Yamaguchi (21-3-3, 17 KOs) will face WBA interim titlist Daniela gLa Bonitah Bermudez (14-2-2, 4 KOs) for unification in Tokyo on July 22. Yamaguchi wrested the belt from compatriot Tsunami Tenkai last year, and kept it twice by defeating Judith Rodriguez (W10) and Loredana Piazza (TKO7). Bermudez, an Argentine pretty girl at 23, defended her WBA interim 115-pound belt three times, and lately acquired the vacant WBO bantam belt by stopping Neisi Torres in the first round at her home turf. But only the WBA super-fly belt will be at stake for this unification bout.
Gushiken, who is now such a very busy television talent that we watch his commercial appearances every day, said, gIt will be a very good and competitive fight that must draw good attentions of fight fans.h Yamaguchi, 35, says, gDaniela is an aggressive boxer and very pretty as well. I hope to show my real power and unify the WBA belts.h One of Gushikenfs most popular commercials is Yokeru Man (head-slipping man in Japanese) who may coach her champ to avert the cute Argentine girlfs busy-punching attack.
