The Japan Boxing Commission (JBC) has announced that it celebrates newly crowned WBC lightweight champion, Japan-based Venezuelan Jorge Linares in veneration of his third coronation in as many categories under the name of the commissioner Yuko Hayashi. Linares, now 29, came to Japan at the age of sixteen to belong to Akihiko Hondafs Teiken Promotions since and seized three world belts?WBC feather, WBA super-feather and WBC light championships. He lately acquired the vacant WBC 135-pound belt by dismantling Mexican Javier Prieto by an eye-catching fourth-round knockout on December 30. Linares is one of the most outstanding boxers in Japan as he has been warmly supported by great many fight fans here. He has remarkably shown his fistic improvement as well as his linguistic excellence as he can speak Japanese very fluently at the press conference. How popular Jorge is here in Japan is beyond description. Congratulations.
