TANAKA, YEDRAS PASS WEIGH-IN

May 29, 2015

NAGOYA, JAPAN

Some pressman asked this reporter about the previous record of champions in fewest pro bouts prior to the weigh-in today. This record-keeper replied, gSaengsak Muangsurin and Vasyl Lomachenko (if we ignore his WSB campaigns) in the third professional bout, and Viraphol Nakhonluang-Promotion in the fourth contest.h He asked me again, gShould Kosei Tanaka acquire the belt in his fifth tomorrow, will he become the fourth quickest world titlist in history?h This observer coolly responded, gYes, you are right.h

Today we saw great many pressmen and photographers at the weigh-in ceremony, where both Kosei Tanaka (4-0, 2 KOs) of Japan and Mexican Julian Yedras (24-1, 13 KOs) tipped the beam at the 105-pound class limit.

The WBO officials are as follows: referee Samuel Viruet (US); judges Luis Ruiz (Puerto Rico), Salven Lagumbay (Philippines), Sawaeng Thaweekoon (Thailand); supervisor Leon Panoncillo (US).

This reporter has no other words than gTime will tellh that I already wrote yesterday.
