HARADA FINISHES NAKANO IN GRUDGE FIGHT

August 4, 2015

TOKYO, JAPAN

Japan-based Filipino banger, JBC#8/OPBF#12 lightweight Mondo Harada (AKA Ricky Sismundo; 29-8-2, 13 KOs), 134.5, scored a fine come-from-behind victory in a grudge fight when he survived a third-round visit to the canvas and dropped Japanese lefty Kazuya Nakano (8-5-1, 7 KOs), 134.5, twice and halted him at 2:10 of the fourth round on Tuesday in Tokyo, Japan. They fought to a technical draw in the first round due to an accidental headbutt this May, and the rematch had been greatly anticipated by our fight fans. The game Japanese, in the third, landed a vicious southpaw left to the button of Sismundo, flooring him on the seat of trunks. His punishment was such that we thought it would be a night for Nakano, but the tide turned against him in the next session. Sismundo exploded a three-punch combination to the face and badly decked the Japanese southpaw, and floored him again with a wicked left hook. As Sismundo furiously followed it up, the referee Fukuchi promptly intervened to raise the Filipinofs arm. (In this case, the reffs halt is regarded as the third knockdown, which makes the JBCfs result registered as knockout, not TKO.)

Promoter: Hideki Todaka Promotions.
