KOSEKI, MIYAO TO COLLIDE FOR FEMALE 102LB UNIFICATION

WBC atomweight champ Momo Koseki (20-2-1, 7 KOs) and WBA light-minimumweight titlist Ayaka Miyao (20-5-1, 4 KOs), both hailing from Japan, will collide in a world female 102-pound unification bout in Tokyo, Japan, on October 22. The fast-punching southpaw Koseki, making her sixteenth defense, had proposed an encounter with another organizationfs champ Miyao, with five successful defenses, who finally accepted this encounter with both belts on the line. Koseki, 33, said, gI wish to defeat Miyao rather than acquire a couple of belts.h Miyao, a year her junior, quickly replied, gI want two belts by beating her.h Miyaofs promoter/manager Hideyuki Ohashi said, gThis is a very significant event for the sake of the female boxingfs future.
