champ WOLF TOKIMITSU, 104 3/4, floored Indonesian MOHAMAD SADIK,
102 1/2, with a countering right in the 6th and battered him en
route to a TKO win at 1:31 of the 7th round in a scheduled 12.
Tokimitsu had captured the OPBF crown from Indonesian Nico Thomas on points last Feb. In his first defense, he was befuddled by Sadik's furious aggressiveness in the first 2 rounds. But Tokimitsu took back the initiative and whipped him with a flurry of punches. The 6th saw the champ drop the Indonesian with a vicious right. In the fatal session, Tokimitsu banged him out so that Sadik turned his back, when referee Ichiro Uenaka called a well-received stoppage.
Tokimitsu, the WBC #6 contender, raised his mark to 12-2, 5 KOs.
Unbeaten KAZUNORI FUJITA, 129 3/4, stopped TAKAYUKI SOEDA,
130, at 0:12 of the 2nd round to extend his unbeaten mark to 7-0,
